As I work to create CoPE’s foundational framework, I started with Seven Acknowledgements. This code is a guideline for everyday behavior that all members agree to adhere to. Members found to be in violation of this code may be subject to disciplinary action including possible revocation of CoPE membership.

We acknowledge the importance of connection and interaction with like-minded and supportive adults.

We acknowledge that everyone has the absolute right to bodily autonomy.

We acknowledge that consent is clear, enthusiastic, deliberate, and non-negotiable.

We acknowledge the importance of personal wellness as a lifelong multilayered pursuit.

We acknowledge that adults have the right to make their own informed choices about the level of risk they are willing to participate in.

We acknowledge that adults have the right to personal exploration of risk-aware consensual kink (RACK).

We acknowledge that bullying and discrimination are unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
